A new bug (Win ME)?

Hi! New to the Pacific War forum. Played the boxed game ages ago and loved it. The Computer version by matrix is infinitely better!

HOWEVER, I downloaded in Win ME, the game runs fine when I double-click on the icon or .exe; but, none of the buttons appear and ALT-Q won't end the game, AND I can't save a scenario in progress. I have to kill by using CNTRL-ALT-DEL. (Can't keep the machine on for the oh-couple-of-weeks it would take to play through a game - sigh)

Anyone else had this problem? A bug? How do I get the buttons at the bottom of the screen to appear and the save function to work in Win ME?

I also run this game on ME, I do have the buttons, and the save feature, my problem is that i don't have numbers show up, (ie...1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ). I have tried everything I can think of to get the numbers to show up, but they just don't want to I guess. It makes it hard to fight, when you don't know how many planes you have or supply you have, i just loaded in vers. 2.3, and that didn't help it either. so I'm back to where i started, if anyone knows what to do, plz tell me, but plz remember, I'm computer blonde.:rolleyes:
