Precise Placement of Units into Terrain.

Post by Champagne »

I'm a newbie because I haven't played CC since CC1 came out so long ago.

I noticed that there is very little distance between Terrain that is designated as having Average cover and that having Great cover. I try to place a unit in the Great cover, of course, but, the imprecision of the game engine itself leaves me uncertain whether the unit has landed in the Great cover vice the Average cover.

Is there some trick or knack to knowing that your unit is placed in exact Terrain that you desire?

Thank you.

from options choose outline shows cover then you can see how they are doing
.

The bigger the team the more difficult it becomes to stay in the one sort of cover.

Thanks, Mr. Williams. I am using that setting.

I notice that the soldiers on this setting have different color outlines. I didn't see an explanation in the manual
regarding the meaning of these different color outlines.

Is this explained somewhere?

Thanks.

All indicators in close combat WaR run through a series of colors

Green
Yellow
Red
Black

Green means most cover Black means least cover
