Question regarding shipping and value

Post by NorwegianBlood »

Hi,
Im considering buying a couple of games from you guys, but I am uncertain if I should buy the download + physical copy or just the download version.

Is the physical version of Forge of Freedom and Advanced Tactics worth the extra cost? Does one get a reasonably sized manual etc?

Also if I were to go for the physical version I am curious as to how you value the shipment? A symbolic sum or the what I am actually paying for it? Anything over $25 makes the customs hungry for my hard earned cash.

Feedback immensely appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Both come with very nice printed manuals and IMHO are worth it. The shipments are generally valued at their price (i.e. a $39.99 game would be valued at $39.99), this is what we're required to do by law per my understanding. However, if you are in Europe, we ship from a warehouse in the UK, which tends to take customs out of the question (as it's within the EU). Outside North America and Europe it can be a different story depending, for the most part we haven't had problems as far as customers being charged extra for their packages.

Thanks for your reply Erik.

I live in Norway and this country is not in the EU.

Because of the low value of the NOK towards the dollar right now both those games go above the limit specified by our government. That means an increased cost of 25% for me. Plus potential delays etc.

I fully understand that you are required by law to have the correct value on the package.

I guess it will be the download versions for me then.

Do they come with the manual in pdf format (silly question perhaps...)?

Aha - yes, didn't realize you were in Norway. That's the one country in the region where we have had some reports of customs issues. Good thing you asked.

The full manual in color PDF form (as an indexed E-Book) is included in the download version.
