Passing at the College football level?

Post by micvik »

Has anybody been gotten passing to work at the college football level. My QBs can't complete a pass and the problem doesn't seem to be accuracy(I made the QB's perfect in the constants and ratings and I'm still having problems). What are you guys experiencing?

I'm using Hack's plays at the college level and passing works great. Can't speak for the default plays.

I would like to add that I have had trouble getting passing to work at the lower levels like College/Highschool.  And what I mean by "trouble" is where a QB only completes 25% or less of his passes.

I found a few ways to correct this.  Make sure in your play design that all Pass Plays have your QB Read a certain player.  If not, I think the AI lowers the odds of passing and either he trys to dump that pass or try to scramble.  Also try to put "Look for Pass" logic early in a receivers route, maybe even at the beginning of the route if you want.  I don't think is used that much, but try using "Lob pass" logic in certain plays.  Its a little tricky, but I have found that it does work for certain types of complicated receiver routes better then just a QB Reading for a Pass.

I've had problems getting good pass completions in high school. It's primarily accuracy. He'd either overthrow, underthrow, underlead or overlead his receiver.

Unless I create an Elite 11 QB, then he's OK.
