Re-use graphics from other scenarios?

Hi all,

I have a small but (from my point of view) important question: As I like this game immensely and especially the fictional fantasy scenarios I have been thinking about designing a scenario.
My question is: When submitting a scenario would it be considered ok to re-use graphics of the other submitted scenarios (obviously from the fantasy background)? I am especially thinking about the counters from the "tolkinesque" scenario. Or is it adviced to get the ok from the original graphic designer?
Sorry if this has been asked before, did not find anything by searching.

Just my own opinion; seek approval from the original scenario designer or at least give them some sort of credit in your own scenario documentation. In general, since you are not making money off someone else's work, I don't think there are any 'hard' issues with reusing their graphics.

I, i have redone a lot of the graphics for the "tolkinesque" scenario, you can use them as you wish.

I used these in my scenario for which I just uploaded a first sandbox version. Obviously it is in a fantasy setting...

Whenever I do something, I attach the http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html GNU GPL (or the version for documentation in case I include it) to it unless I have used someone else's material in which case I check with them, or if it's a "plug in" (like RealMod) I make sure to give credit and provide reference.

I think the trickier part relate to photos etc. which is when you basically have to find out which license apply before re-distributing it. Not that I think it's very likely that the copyright police comes knocking on your door if you happen to include a thumbnail of a photo of an Me-109 that was not allowed to re-distribute, but technically, they could unless you obtained the permission from the owner....
