Creating Battlegroups (Attachments)

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Creating Battlegroups (Attachments)

Post by Deathtreader »

Happy New Year All!!!!!!!

I often have difficulty (klutz that I am) in creating battlegroups/making attachments when there are a LOT of units within a small area -- such as when 20 or more units show up at once as reinforcements. Inevitably I'm control clicking on the unit immediately underneath the one I actually wanted or something else equally stupid. So......
Is it, or could it be, possible to create battlegroups by making the attachments from the OOB listing?? That way there's no possibility of control clicking on the wrong unit.
Just a thought........

So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)
Hmmmm... big place ain't it??

Don't know yet. The longer I'm taking to iron out the AI, the greater the probability Paul will have time to implement it. [:)]

Just resurrecting this one for the EF game. Particularly if there are going to be scenarios with large numbers of Soviet
formations!! I hope, I hope, I hope...........

I'll second this--it'd be a nice feature to have.

Another vote for OB display selection ( please ) I only bought this game recently, and one of the first things I wanted to do was compose a force/KG from within the OB rather than clicking on-map, which as the OP points out can be difficult in crowded zones.

In the meantime, try pressing the zero (numpad) key make icons smaller, maybe it's easy to select the units you want?

--------------or as alternative stopgap---- let the reinforcements fast move in column onto the map briefly----then reorganize[:)]
