My apologies for posting a thread that is completely off topic, but I have been very impressed with the number and seniority of old line gamers who monitor this board.
After playing a very interesting game of Napoleon's Last Battles on the Hexwar website, (a site I highly recommend for all of you nostalgia buffs!) I have been searching my memory for the name of a game. It was about the Battle of Nations (17, 18 and 19 October 1813 in and around Leipzig, Germany.) It used essentially the same system as Napoleon's Last Battles, units primarily brigades, with command rules, combined arms, route march for reinforcements, etc. The board consisted of two maps, and was unforgettable for its many fall colors (greens, orange and yellow). I have looked on many of the sites that list games, but cant seem to find anything that matches my memory.
Does anyone have an idea as to what this game was called and the publisher.

That's it Steve! Thanks for another assist. Turns out that I had the first edition of (apparently) 4, which is why I had trouble remembering it.
Turns out that OSG has closed its doors again, and is clearing out its warehouse. I just ordered one of the 2 last copies of "4 Lost Battles."

Perhaps you are thinking of "La Bataille de Moscova" which was on Borodino.

I loved SoN - not to play but to salivate over the components. The rulebook was tremendous but there was an additional booklet covering background etc. and I read that puppy fro cover to cover a dozen times - comfort reading. The game istelf was unplayable (IMO) but the production values were excellent.

Wonder what happened to my copy. Anyone know whether the manuals are available as PDFs anywhere?
