PT/Barge respawn

Post by wwengr »

Has anyone ever noticed or documented how long it takes for sunk PT's and Barges to become available again?
I have been inputting my orders for the campaign game first turn since July 4, 2009. I'm getting close. In another month or two, I might be able to run the turn!

I am not aware that they respawn.  I believe both sides have a pre-programmed allotment.  The production is not evenly dispersed.  For example the allies get a lot more PTs in 43.  More than they can really use.

(free) Barges respawn in (I think) 90 days.  LCTs, LCVPs, LCMs (all free) respawn.

LSTs, LSDs don't respawn.

PTs don't respawn.

For the Allies, barges and PTs don't technically respawn.  The Allied player has to expend supplies to create them - at any Allied base for barges, at an American base for PTs, provided in both cases adequate supplies are present (or a transport TF)

I was under the impression that Japanese barges respawned after they were sunk.  They cost supply to create as well.  (20 supply per barge maybe?)  Be forwarned.  When you have barges in the pool and you click "Create Barges", you get all that are available and can pay for with available supply in the hex, up to 15 per click.

PTs don't respawn, and are never re-available thru being created by supply. Once it's dead, it's dead.

I don't know why everybody thinks they respawn. PTs don't respawn.

Does anyone know the timeframe for the "Create PT Boats" control to be activated? It was mentioned above that the delay is hard-coded, but is there some info on how it was hardcoded?
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

...but there is only 396 PT boats! How could that be enough?[;)]
