Bugs

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

How do you guys feel about the bugs now? I still have the occasional crash but it seems the bulk of them have been corrected air units aside... I never have CTD anymore but I realize it might not be the case for everyone.

There are bound to be more-there is a lot of game left to explore. The current fixes take care of everything I had noticed-and then some. CTD events had dropped off in my thrice patched game. While toying around with the past couple of patches in new games, I had no more CTD. I am hopeful that is a thing of the past-but I will still save each time before I begin the combat action-too many sieges had gone awry in the past.

Due to the scope of this game I'm sure there will still be things to fix or tweak many months from now. Those kinds of changes can only be made after the game has been mastered by a whole lot of players.

The game is now in pretty good shape IMO-good enough to recommend others to buy it if they have any interest in this era.

After the detaching/attaching system is improved it will be time to start pushing for some other types of improvements. One area that needs attention is in the statistics book. Much more info should be presented-and in a more readable layout.

I would still recommend that newcomers hold off buying the game until the manual is completed. They have 14 sections available at the AGEOD website which you can download now....in fact, this is one of those occassions when a person can actually read the manual before buying the game, since it is available on the Ageod forum as a zip download....so newcomers should take advantage and look over the manual, then you'll see what great potential this game has....
