New Game

Commander – Napoleon at War is the second in a series of high level turn based strategy games. It spans the Napoleonic Wars from 1805 to 1815, allowing players to control France or the Coalitions against it through the entire period or in shorter scenarios. Easy to learn, with fun and addictive gameplay, this is a Napoleonic wargame in the style of the old "Panzer General".

Just bought the game tonight, will I need too update this particular software package or does the download come already updated?

Good question - I'm not really sure.  If you got the download version, it very well may be the latest edition, look when you boot it up I think the main screen (lower right) will tell you what version you have.

I just got the game for Christmas, but I got the CD version and I did have to download to the latest update patch to version 1.06.

I recommend updating, the download is probably a version or two older than the latest.

Strongly recommended you play 1.06, the patch has many significant improvements compared to 1.00
