Mods and scenarios - How to install correctly?

Post by TomBombadil711 »

Hi!

I made a search at the forum but cannot find what I have been looking for. How to install all these great mods and new scenarios correctly without mixing files up?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
its very straightforward. Everything should go under the /bin folder. Details are here:

I have installed the Great War scenario and am sure I did everything right. When I start the scenario the following message appears:

You are loading a saved file from a lower version (100) than the current version (110)

What does this mean? Is the scenario playable?

Thanks again.

My understanding is that this comes from the scenario being created and uploaded with an earlier version of AT. There are several scenarios which give this warning.
I played the "Tolkinesque" scenario a lot which gives the same warning but it runs technically well (I needed to adapt the events, though).
What exactly is different probably only Vic might tell but I would be confident it is not something you are doing wrong....
Other opinions?

That's right. You should have no problems playing that scenario.

If it happens everytime you open the scenario, not sure that it will but if it does just open it, edit it - don't change anything, then save it over itself. That will get rid of the message.

Have fun.[8D]
