Will there be any AARs by the Beta Testing team before release?
Maybe.

Beta testing isn't playing the game so much as it is checking that things work. There are debug capabilities that let players set up situations (e.g., place units on the map, change status of units, change the date, cahgne the weather, etc.. This is much more efficient for seeing if something works than playing through an entire game turn (much less an entire game).
