About Regions/Weather in Historical Replays

Post by KG Erwin »

In my 1939-1940 historical association, I decided on a whim to check out the other teams' region settings. Lo and behold, I found teams such as the NY Giants, Washington Senators and Boston Braves set to modern day regions (i.e., San Francisco, Minneapolis and Atlanta). Hmm, that's interesting. I went through all 16 teams and reset the regions/weather to match their historical settings.

I kinda wondered why I played in 80 degree conditions in Boston during late September. Having completed 1939, I'm not about to start all over, but I'm happy I noticed this weirdness and corrected it for the next season.

I think this is a glitch in the setup for historical replays. Does weather play a part in the final results? You BET it does.

The lesson here is that if you set up a historical association, double check those region settings! I went through the trouble of assigning historical parks/uniform logos, but wrongly assumed that the imported regions would be correct. Oops!
