Looking for a New Game

Post by GrumpyMel »

Hey I have a slot for a game available if anyone has time. Preference would be for GPW, WaW or WWIII scenerio...but I could be persuaded to try something else.

I'm looking to play Russia in a WWIII scenario. We had one going but it sort of died.
Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.

I'm always up for a GPW, either side.

Sounds like we would have a choice of the following.....

GPW = Mehring, GrumpyMel, RufusTFirefly

or

WWIII = Casus_Belli, GrumpyMel, RufusTFirefly

or

WAW = GrumpyMel, RufusTFirefly

My preference would be to allow the most players possible...but I'm not sure how either WWIII or GPW work with an uneven number of players per side.... Have any of you guys tried that?  I suppose in WWIII Casus_Belli could play both Russia and PDRC....and Rufus and I would split NATO & USA....... or in GPW...2 players could play the German side as a team (probably do the thing where you allow saved games...and play the Germans as a single regieme.....giving different players different areas of responsibility)...and the other one play the Soviets.... Do you guys think those would work?

I'm in for a game.
Mehring told me he is kinda busy with reworking GPW. So I will take his place in the game. I can play either WAW or GPW.
Never played WWIII.

We could try GPW with the save game option. We use it now and it's great.
Playing 2 vs 2 would be better. Turns take quite long.

Or WAW would also be great. But then I suggest you don't play Germany. I remember a game against you playing Germany and you wiped me out as Russia winning the game in 1941. [:@] [:D]

Ok so it sounds like we have 4 players now for either WAW or GPW....

RufusTFirefly, GrumpyMel, Jay, Silicor.

Lets work out which one and sides. I have a slight prefence for GPW over WAW but can do either....preference would be Western Allies in WAW or Germans in GPW..... but I'll let you guys have first pick and take whatever is left open.

Ok... so lets here your prefences guys....hopefully we can get something rolling this weekend.

Slight preference for GPW, German side.
But WAW would be ok too, Japan or US preferred here.

But I can change to another slot in case someone is absolutely willing to play a special side.

Ok so we have 2 GPW, 1 WAW and 1 No preference. Looks like we're doing GPW

Rufus you called German. Jay...you get to choose whether you want to team up with him or play the Soviets. If you go Soviets, I'll team with Rufus....otherwise it'll be me an Silicor as the Reds. Let me know which way you want to go and we can start it up.

Version 6a is what JayDoubleyou and I are using. It is the latest, I think.

By the way: Do you all have updated AT to version 1.21? We should make sure to have the latest version of AT.

Rather busy to take on another GPW game, since they are kinda time consuming.
Giacomo is looking for a game as well, so he can either take my place or leave a small hq for me. I don't mind Russian or German side.
Best if Rufus starts the game, since he has the right version. It's a modded 6a version.

I could stand in for Jay.
Jay you just want to do one of the fronts?
Northern or southern?  I'll do central and which other you don't choose.
