B-29 Question

As I approach the point where in the game where I get these super weapons I was wondering historically if only the new groups assigned to arrive with B-29's flew them or did some of the B-17/B-24 groups upgrade to them? I am sure there is some one here that will not only be able to accurately answer the question but give me the exact groups that upgraded if any did. The reason I ask is that I try to play a historical game (CVE's fly FM-2 not F6F, no VMF's on CV's until 1945 etc.). If groups upgraded to Superforts I happily will follow suit. Conversely if that didn't happen in RL, it won't in my game

This could help you.  If any of the listed squadrons or groups has other bombers assigned, you're free to upgrade them.[:)]
