Loading infantry onto vehicles

I've recently downloaded SPwaw & the patches onto my Vista 64 laptop and am going through the tutorials. Can anyone tell me where the text files are which are referred to in the tutorials? Also in the Artillery tutorial, I can't get my mortar crew to load onto the ammo truck. The truck is in an adjacent hex. I'm selecting the infantry, hitting L or selecting the L icon, then left clicking the truck. A message flashes that says the truck is too far away....but it is adjacent. Any suggestions?

You must be in the same hex to load infantry. Select the unit, then hold shift while clicking the hex you wish them to enter (the one with the truck). Note that ammo trucks cannot carry anything (carry capacity 0). Welcome aboard. [8D]

Thanks, Goblin.  I just thought since it was a truck, you could load them.  I'll try a jeep or an armored car using cntrl + L.
 
I tried to join Depot Academy, but I have a gmail email address and when I tried to register they said my email address was banned.

PM me the username and gmail account you wish to use, and I'll set it up for you. Watch for a reply to your PM here.

You do not use cntl + L. Select a unit as normal, and do what I described above. Then simply click L, and it will prompt you to click on which unit you wish to load onto (click on an elegible truck). You can check carry capacity in the Unit screen (right click on a unit while you have it selected).
