Ist PBEM looking for allied player stock scn 15 (CLOSED)

Post by SierraJuliet »

Hi. I’m looking for an allied opponent to play PBEM in stock version 1.806 Scenario 15. The mod maps look great but for the time being I am happy to go with vanilla. I know AE is so close but I need to start somewhere and after reading many AAR reports I figure this experience will give me the leg up I need to graduate to AE at some future date. As this is all new to me I’m a bit unsure how much time I will need to devote but am aiming for a turn a day and sometimes more. I’m a shift worker, however, and have the commitments of a family so envisage there will be times when the one turn a day wish will fail to materialize.

I’m in the process of setting up turn 1 (I know where I want my sons of Nippon but have to take the time to set them up) so should be ready to go within the week.

I’m considering the following house rules and am happy to negotiate.

One day turns
Sub doctrine off for both sides
Fog of War
Advanced weather effects on
Allied damage control on
Non historical first turn
PDU on both sides
Vary set up on
December 7th surprise on
Reinforcements both sides - fixed
Auto sub ops off

1. Only one port attack on turn one – I’m pretty much looking at landings similar to original landings with some modifications – certainly no landings in Australia or the like.
2. 4Es on naval attack minimum alt. 10 000 ft
3. No 4E bomber missions under 6000', except for ASW/Search missions
4. No Naval Attack by Allied land based bombers (2E bombers) under 1000', until 1/43
5. ASW TF max of 6 ships. No admirals allowed to command
6. No mini para drops. As many para drops allowed as wished but they should involve at least 500-1000 men at min
7. No Japanese LCU naval invasions north of Tavoy until Singapore falls.
8. No Corsair's allowed on US CV's until 1/44. Except for transport missions
9. Airfield stacking limited to 50Xairfield level +15%.

You've got mail.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Thanks Damian. I must admit the chance to display my good and bad moves [maybe just plain dumb chance] is somewhat irresistible so stay tuned and hopefully there will be a new AAR thread in the near future.

Thanks for all the interest.  Negotiations are proceeding nicely towards a complete breakdown in good will followed by a sneaky surprise attack [X(] somewhere in the Pacific!
