12. DESCRIPTION OF PROVINCES WITH MAP
12.1 Charak Burjak province
This province in southwestern afghanistan is mostly populated by baloch. The Charak Burjak province is sparesly populated and the people are not very likely to begin a generall uprising.
12.2 Malak Khan province
This province in southwestern afghanistan is mostly populated by pashtu and baloch people. The Malak Khan province is sparesly populated and the people are not very likely to begin a generall uprising. It borders with Iran and Hezbollah-controlled territory on the west.
12.3 Farah (or Pasarband) province
Mostly populated by Pashtu people this province contains the important Farah city with the Farah airfield. It borders with Iran and Hezbollah-controlled territory on the west.
12.4 Shindand province
Mostly populated by Pashtu people this province contains Shindand city with the Shindand airfield.
12.5 Herat province
Mostly populated by Tajik people this province contains the major city of Herat (4VPs) with an airfield. Bordering to the north is USSR with the Kushka city and airfield.
12.6 Chagram province
The Chagram province is sparesly populated, mostly by people of the Hazara ethnicity. People here are fiercly independent and as such they are not as likely as other provinces to begin a generall uprising.
12.7 Kandahar province
The large Kandahar province in the south of Afghanistan contains the major city Kandahar (5VPs) with the Kandahar airport. It is mainly inhabitated by pashtun people.
12.8 Meymanh province
This province with its capital Meymanh (3VPs), borders the Herat province, in the north of Afghanistan is mainly inhabitated by ethnic turkmens who are more inclined to fight for the DRA regime than other people.
12.9 Shabhargan province
This forrest-covered province in the north of Afghanistan is mostly inhabitated by ethnic turkmens who are more inclined to fight for the DRA regime than other people. The capital is Shabhargan (3VPs)
12.10 Mazar i Sharif (or Samnarghan) province
This province in the north of Afghanistan contains the major city Mazar I Sharif (4VPs) and its airfield. It is mainly populated by ethnic tajiks.
12.11 Bamlam province
This mountainous province in the central Afghanistan is mainly inhabitated by uzbeks who are more inclined to fight for the DRA regime than other peoples. The capital of the province is Bamlam.
12.12 Qunduz province
The Qunduz province in the north of Afghanistan contains the important city Qunduz (2VPs) with its airfield. It borders with the USSR to the north with Termez, its airfield and large supply depot. It also contains city of Baghan (2VPs). Qunduz province is mainly populated by ethnic turkmens who are more inclined to fight for the DRA regime than other peoples.
12.13 Feyzabad province
This province in the northeast of Afghanistan contains the Feyzabad city with its airfield. The province is mainly inhabitated by tajiks.
12.14 Qual en je Panjeh province
This province in the far northeast of Afghanistan is mainly inhabitated by tajiks. It borders to Pakistan in the south and can be subject to transfers from the southern resistance are by playing the Road to Qual en je Panjeh province event.
12.15 Kamdaysh province
This province in eastern Afghanistan is mostly inhabitated by ethnic nuristani. The people of Kamdaysh are significantly more rebellius than average and are quick to rebell and listen to Mullah agitation. This province is more or less controlled by the independent Mohaz Melli Islami resistancegroup from the start. The Mohaz Melli Islami also controll a base territory in Pakistan around the city of Chitral with its airfield.
12.16 Charikar province
The small Charikar province north of Kabul is mostly inhabitated by pachai and uzbeks.
12.17 Jalalabad province
The important Jalalabad province west of Kabul contains the major city Jalalabad (5VPs) with its airfield. It is mainly populated by pashtu people.
12.18 Kabul
Kabul province contains Kabul (8VPs), the capital of Afghanistan and a major city. It also contains the Kabul airfield and the Bagram airfield. Kabul is mostly inhabitated by pashtu people.
12.19 Ghazni province
Ghazni province south of Kabul is mostly populated by pashtu. It contains the Ghazni city with its airfield.
12.20 Zarah Sharon province
The mountainous Zarah Sharon province south of Ghazni province is a almost uninhabitaded the few people who live there are mostly of Pashtun ethnicity.
