Advanced engine production

Post by Dora09 »

Hello everyone. I have made it to 1943 playing CHS as the Japanese and my Ki46II factories have all converted to Ki46III. I have factories converted and active that should produce advanced Mitshubishi and Nakajima engines but I am getting no production. Does anyone know when these engines begin production in CHS 155? I am running out of Ki46II and I am awaiting the J2M in March (it is the end of Jan now).

thanks

In CHS, you get the planes that need the advanced engines a couple of months before the engines become available. Absolutely no reason to RD the the mid war planes that need them, you are still going to be waiting on engines in the end.

In CHS 155 Advanced Mitsubishi/Nissan engine production should start in December 1942. Advanced Nakajima/Toyoda production starts in September 1943. This presents you with a slight problem because the early version of the Shiden (N1K1-J) is supposed to start production one month earlier but won't, due to the absence of the required Adv Nakajima engines.

Your J2M Raiden is due to start production in March 1943, and will be the next aircraft (after the Ki-46-III) that requires Adv Mitsubishi engines.

If your Adv Mitsubishi factories are not producing check whether they are currently showing 'Restart'. If so, their production has been switched off, in which case, click 'Restart' so it changes to 'Halt'. The factories should then produce, assuming you have the HI points required for this.
