PBEM Screen: BB's are NOT dead!

Post by Q-Ball »

Has anyone else had the same results? Check out the sunk list in my current PBEM, which is in 11/44......we have had ALOT of BB on BB action. I especially love the 2 sunk by 18in IJN steel. Yamato lives! That's 12 total BB's sunk by other BBs.

nice one, never have seen that before... my lists are usually like this: 80% of all ships sunk by aerial torps of both sides, nearly the rest by bombs... [:D]

I know, that's why I wanted to post it. Most BB's on the forum are sunk by Torps, not BIG GUNS. On this list, you can tell many ships sank each other. Musashi and Washington basically sank each other; Kongo and West Virginia, same thing. Nagato and Pennsylvania.

All of these occurred either a) in July-September 1943 around Lunga, or b) the last 30 days (11/44), basically IJN death rides.

WELL DONE!  I ended up with 13 sunk in Dan and I's campaign.  You blow right through that (pardon the pun).

In a match between Kongo and Wee Vee my money would always be on the American ship (save that Kongo could get out of range quicker!), so this an exceptionally good result for the Japanese vessel.  Similarly, I would have expected Nagato to prevail over Pennsylvania.
