Help!

Post by EnfieldRanger »

Is there any way to be able to use more than the units that are given in the unit dialogs? For instance, I may only be able to add a couple extra cavalry units to th French army in one scenario. Is there a way so I can add as many of each as I want? This would give me more flexibility when creating scenarios.

Take a look at the main.oob file. It's a text file that can be opened with notepad.

If you are starting from scratch you can duplicate the elements of the oob structure, or otherwise add more units. If you are editing an existing scenario you will mess up the sequence for the scenario file so be careful.

Sorry, this may sound a bit cryptic if you are just starting out with modding, but this is a good place to start.

Alternatively you will have to create your own new OOB. That's not too difficult with the OOB editor but needs some experience.
