1.08 Bug - No enemy, can't leave area

Problem: Can't exit area, map sector Road to Airport the enemy attacked and left the area, yet can't exit the area, I have marched my squad around the whole area twice along with 2 roaming Merc Squads there are no enemies on the map.

I've received your saved game, thanks again. We're going to investigate this one as well.

Additionally, one work-around that may be helpful is simply reloading a slightly earlier saved game from the battle. Sometimes taking out the last on-map enemy again can fix the original issue that made you stuck in the first place. I've run into this problem before and was able to work around it by reloading.

I save very very often so that's helpful too. [:D]

The issue seems to be when you have hired Merc squads on the map as well as your own Mercs, the Merc squads return fire causing the enemy to leave the map on turn one, before the player gets their turn. So when the players turn comes, there are no more enemies left on the map, not even a dead one.

This is a beta version so I'm just playing through to see how far I can get.

Tried backtracking from about half way of the map and no dice.
Will have to summon energy to start the map over again.

The issue might (or might not) be an enemy that I dropped into the dam with a grenade launcher..
Might be that the perp is still alive (i only have a question mark in the middle of the dam...) and thus the game
wont let it finnish.

after a new start from the beginning everything went fine. the probable culprit could have been that floater in the pond..
