time setting faster than fast ?

Post by CharonJr »

Hi,

I am wondering if there is any way to make the game progress any faster than at the "fast" setting. The 2nd battle in the GC basically took forever as Germany with pretty much nothing happening for most of the time (I can't see any real reason to do anything than protect the exits). Even at "fast" it is a fairly long and boring waiting game till about 2min before the 15min are up.

Sorry, no.  There is no way to advance the speed over "fast", which is really real time, the others being less than realistic time for movement and reactions.  All I can tel you is that you should be grateful that the default battle time is 15 minutes.  In the previous CC games the default was 30 minutes.  When in a choice defense, there was always plenty of time to go brew a cup of coffee, walk the dog, make dinner, or pay attention to the wife (in this case always keeping one eye on the monitor to ensure that the AI didn't suddenly get brilliant - CC is a jealous bitch).
C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre.

Out of the box...when playing vs the AI...it's recommended to play as the attacker.
You need VetMods to enjoy playing defense against aggressive attacking AI.

Thx, I was afraid of something like this ;)

Well, with the Osttruppen (and only 12 of them) it looked more prudent to me to stay put. But otherwise I am quite willing to attack and there is no problem with the time.
