By all means.  Someone will try to answer your question.  The HUD3 editor, Darren Buckley, does visit this forum as do representatives of AGSI, the developers.

I've sent you a couple of email addresses if you would like to contact me directly about the issue, or if you simply want to discuss your problem feel free to do so here. Matrix are the host for the official H3 ANW Forum so there's probably no better place for the discussion.

I'm hoping to have a specific forum established on the HUD3 site as soon as it can be organised. Yeah tooooo many things to do and just one of me.

Hi all
Its just a problem I am getting with a GC1 - Taking the black sea fleet scenario,
I am triggering a victory after only 10 minutes of real time play, getting requested
path was illegal quite a bit and no matter what I do I cant stop helicopters launching
from the carrier fleet. I am using all the latest builds.

This might help for this particular problem. Have you ensured that the "Formation Air Patrol" setting has been turned off in the Game Preferences menu for Staff Assistance Settings?

Doh! Looks like I was a bit premature. I ran the scenario and can now see what you are experiencing. Evidently, that scenario was started with the ScenEditor and then the time was re-set. The helos are already in the air by the time you (the user) start the scenario. I don't think that there is much you can do to cancel the Formation Air Patrol settings for the scenario as it may are already be enabled. Turning it off under the Game Preferences likely will not help once a scenario has started with the setting enabled.

You can try to this work-around solution. Completely break up the existing ship formations (detach all the ships), land the planes/helos, then wait a bit and then re-form your ship groups. Good luck with it.

Ron,

You're obviously playing from the Russian side. The conversion process to the HUD3 didn't in this scenario's case include the removal of the formation air patrols. If you open either the HUD3 or ODB version of this scenario in Scenedit, you'll see the already airborne Kamov and Sukhoi products. If this is an annoyance to players, I'd be more than happy to re-edit the scenario and do away with this "Original setup". I'll take a look at the VCs and see what I can find, we'd not had any reports of issues during internal testing, so I'll attempt to isolate this asap.

Problem is confirmed. You are triggering the ViCond after 30 minutes of elapsed game time because of a ViCond Error. The Protect conditional is fulfilled after 30 minutes of play because it checks it right away.

This problem was one of the many caught and fixed when the scenario was re-made for compatibility with the PlayersDB. Harpoon ANW users can get the
