Based on Atomic Games’ award-winning Close Combat series, Close Combat: The Longest Day brings together the classic top-down tactical gameplay from the original series and plenty of new features, expansions, and improvements! The Longest Day remake comes with a brand new Grand Campaign that covers all the airborne and beach landings, expanded map sizes, new hand-drawn historical maps, illumination during night battles and much more!

Which small soldier mod?

Post by CSO_Talorgan »

In an infantry-only situation which small soldier mod is the most accurate?

Vehicles are not a consideration; just men and terrain.

Apologies if this has been asked before.

Maps are at 5 pixels per meter
Vehicles are 8-10 pixels per meter depending on the CC version and or mod installed
Soldiers are 12 pixels per meter

All of the above are approximate as probably varies by the area on a map, the soldier or the vehicle.

The available small soldier mods are at;
6
7.6
9.5

My preference is 9.5 as it closer in size to the vehicles but not too small to make the men look like ants when playing at 1920x1200 on my 24" monitor.

Looks like I should give the "5" a go.

Well, I gave it a go and have my optician's appointment booked for next week!

I think I'll try 7.66 next.

If 1 pixel = 20 cm, the ideal should be somewhere between the 7.66 and 9.5 versions, unless average height was a lot lower then?
