Myatinka or Lashio

PBEM stock 42A scenario - my opponent has just retaken Myatinka because i forgot to reinforce it - has this now reopened the Burma road or does Lashio also need to be in his grubby hands? thanks

I am pretty sure supplies will flow from Myitkyina to China if the town and the trail hexes leading to China are his (and clear of Jap units). He does not need Lashio.

Yes Burma Road is open if the Allies have Myitkyina with comunatcations back to India.

In fact, I believe the the Burma Road supplies will arrive as long as the Allies hold Myitkyina and Yunnan even if there are Japanese on the trail between the two. (don't worry about reality, it's an abstraction necessary to reduce code complexity [:)])

Good to know... i am wondering if that happens in CHS as well...

In the CHS (Andrew Brown) map, Lashio is not quite on the Burma Road (or Burma Trail, in this case)...

Isn't there a difference in the amount of supplies received in China if it's the Ledo road (Ledo-Myikyina-China) that is opened instead of the Burma road (Rangoon - Lashio - China)? Or am I just projecting my own wishes into the game?

Bob, I just looked it up and you're right... it is the same 500 supplies per day whether the connection is to Ledo or Rangoon. Oh well... [;)]
