PadresFan Mods are Back!!

Well, it's been a long time for me - almost two years - but since Shaun is working on the game again, I feel compelled to update some of the more useful mods for the latest freeware release.

Tonight I have posted MLB logos for the 2008 season. A simple mod, yes, but useful!!

For people familiar with my PureSim mod work in the past, you will remember that I typically distribute my files via a zip archive. Well, in an effort to be more novice-friendly, I am moving to an "Installer" method. This means that you will no longer need to unzip the files before using them. Just download, run the installer, and you are good to go.

PureSim is different than games like OOTP and Replay when it comes to logos and ballparks. These files don't need to be installed in any specific directory since you assign them from within the game, so I had to decide on a default location for these files. For simplicity, I chose the same location where the game installs to by default: c:\Matrix Games\PadresFanMods\. Of course, you can always change this location when you run the installer.

This reminds me -- Al has several of my old PSA templates, none of which are usable with 1.75. I'm gonna have to redo them at some point.

PadresFan: I downloaded and installed the ballparks in the game...however, when I try to assign any of the photos,I keep getting a message that nothing matches my request when I open the folder. I know the images are there. I just can't get them inside the game. Anything I may be doing wrong? thanks for the help

Just a heads up that I posted an updated version of the 2008&2009 Ballparks Mod today. It fixes a problem with the Fenway .prk file. It wasn't using a 1024x768 image, so it was slowing the game down...
