new member questions

Post by joshuar9476 »

1. i want to set up a league as 2 leagues, 30 teams, 6 divisions, but i want each to have five teams and not like MLB's setup.

2. i want to start in 2008 and use real players. I want all of the players to stay on the same teams, but i want to realign and move/rename certain teams (ie keep all Angels players but move them to OK City)

I suppose i use the sandbox for this (i also want a custom schedule of 81 games) but can't figure out how to get past number one.

Did you try using a Quick Start? There's one in there with 2 leagues, 30 teams, 6 divisions.

Never mind that last post. It seems that if you pick the MLB set up you can't change the number of games in the season. HOWEVER, you could, I believe, generate the association and schedule using this format, and then before starting the first season, edit the schedule text file, removing anything after 81 games.

i didn;t want to start another thread, so i'll just post another question here ....

when doing a fantasy draft, is there a way to sort the players by an overall rating and not just potential, hitting, power, etc?

I'm pretty sure that there isn't an Overall rating.
