New Pitch Count

Post by Wrathchild »

Finally getting a chance to try to do some serious playing. It looks like there are still some issues with the flow of the pitches. I just saw the following:

The 0-1 Pitch...
(Frank Schulte Attempted to steal Second on the 0-0 pitch. ...Runner Safe!)(Strike)

(The next pitch was the 1-2 and was a pop out.)

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the text, but it reads to me as if there is already 1 strike when the runner decides to go, meaning that he couldn't have stolen on the 0-0 pitch.

Interestingly enough, when I tried to send my own runner it went straight to the 'attempted to steal' line, without showing the pitch count first. Maybe something is out of sequence here?

BTW: Love the photos on the field!

Have you looked at the game logs, Wrathchild? They are being saved for my team only. Every pitch IS accounted for, if not specifically described (don't forget foul balls). In-game, they are NOT specifically shown, which may make the display appear off-kilter at times. A bit more in-game detail might clear up the misunderstandings.

Addendum: the game logs show some tremendous plate appearances which are not seen in-game. In game 1 of the season, Gene Moore took 15 pitches from the Giants' Hy Vandenberg before he finally flew out on the 16th pitch and advanced a baserunner to 3rd. That's a fantastic at-bat!

My logs aren't showing every pitch. That might be because I simmed the first few innings. I think it only shows full detail when you play out the complete game, or vice versa. I don't remember now.

I manage each game, so I can review the details.

I manage each game until it starts looking certain that I'm not a contender. Then I may sim a couple or at least sim the first 5 innings. Sometimes I like to come in and see what my manager has done and maybe try to pull a victory out of a losing situation.
