Supply and refit

Post by John Lansford »

I have evacuated many British and Dutch base force units out of the path of the advancing Japanese hordes. The Dutch units (an infantry division and many base forces) have largely rebuilt from I'm supposing existing reserves of their various components. Will these units continue their full strength even though Dutch components are no longer being produced, or will they slowly degrade?

Also, some British base forces evacced back to Australia are not rebuilding. Is this a function of nationality, HQ attachment, supply or availability of components? I guess I'm a little fuzzy on just how a LCU rebuilds or upgrades components in this manner. Any help would be appreciated.

Hard to say really. In a game I took over (I havent played stock in a long time, so this game is hard because Im used to CHS) I have an engineer in Bombay. Its one of those 150 av, 150 support things (at full strength). Bombay has 600,000 supplies and the unit is SEAC (same as the base) and its short 30 AV and a little over 100 support and a LOT of both in the pool and replacements are very rarely added to this unit. Maybe replace the base commander with someone with a higher admin skill would do the trick?

Thats just a suggestion. I really dont have an answer.

The Dutch do receive a trickel of replacement throughout the game in both stock and and CMS. Leaders, HQ and where they are will detrmine which units receive them but they will build up.

Sapper Sqd = 1
Eng Sqd 43 = 2
LS Sqd = 1
Rifle Sqd 41 = 11
Fifle Sqd 43 = 6
