A Weird Real-Life Managerial Decision

Post by KG Erwin »

In the Cleveland-Pittsburgh game of June 23, the Indians' pitcher had a 5-0 lead going into the 9th. Rather than let this guy get the CG shutout, the manager opted to go to the bullpen. In the bottom of the 9th, the Pirates scored four runs. With the bases loaded, the Cleveland reliever got the 3rd out, but this game peculiarly looked like a PureSim type of result. Life, on occasion, DOES imitate art.

If I was the starter I would be highly annoyed.
