Can't find an old Template

Post by akcranker »

Does anyone remember a fictional template that someone made complete with logos, fictional player photos etc...

It was a really good template that I remember alot of us downloading at the same time and playing it and comparing how our teams were doing.

I'm not able to find it on Padrefan's site and was wondering if anyone remembers it and knows where I can get it?

Thanks

Found the name of the Template.. just need to see if anyone has it for download.  It's called NAMBLA Association.

Here's a link to the thread where several puresimmers played different teams and compared results

Actually - I think I simply renamed that to the ABA (American Baseball Association) and changed the start year to 1968.  You can find it on the templates page of my PureSim Website.

Yeah, NAMBLA probably wasn't the best name for it.

Hmm starting in 1968 ought to be interesting.  Will have to download that one when I get home and check it out.

Would be interesting to start another thread where everyone plays the same association and compares universes.

I had an idea like that before. I also thought another variation could be where everybody has to play a different team, with your the actual 'standings' being how everyone's team is doing compared to the other human players' teams. So even if you are leading your personal association with a 12-8 record, you may still be losing since another human player has a 13-7 record.

Yea we had it setup where everyone had different teams from the NAMBLA association and we compared standings but we never made it a competition.  Would be kinda cool to do that.

And I actually liked the NAMBLA name.  I can't remember exactly what it stood for though.

PadresFan do you know if your updated template still has the same team names and players?

Yes, still has the same team names, logos, etc. Think the player will be the same too, but not sure...

Sweet!!!  To me that was one of the best Templates I've ever played!!  Can't wait to download it and try it again.

Is there anyway to change the start year?
