The New In-Game Display

Post by KG Erwin »

Had to post a screenshot, as I like the black background which highlights the player photos better. The translucent yellow also works well for the "classic" parks that I use, as homeplate isn't completely obscured. Note that I hid the "Auto-complete" popup behind the scoreboard, as I have no need for it. I love the ability to customize the displays for each ballpark.

Now that I think about it, customized color schemes for each park might also be cool. For Ebbets or Dodger Stadium, for example, the team boxes could have a "Dodger Blue" background. For that matter, the team boxes could show appropriate background colors for each team. Can it be done, without obscuring the team logos? Just a thought.

That's the same park image I use for Washington Grounds for my 1907 Superbas. :)

A note on the display screenshot: Galan pinch-hit for Higbe, but I haven't brought in a relief pitcher yet. Hey, he was still warming up! Sorry for the weird-looking lineups. [;)]

I love this one. It's based on an actual photo, but painted by Andy Jurinko. It's beautiful, and 100% accurate. In a few of his other painted parks, he used a bit of artistic license, most notably in his rendition of the Forbes Field fans in the foreground. He added them in.

So tell me what's with the two boxes on the 1st base line (other than the coaches box), and the single box on the 3rd base line?

Honestly, I don't know, but they can be seen in this photo:

Too bad it's such a small picture but that's pretty cool.  Would be cool to find out why those boxes were there.
