losing Italian units in France after Vichy declared?

Post by GeorgePatton »

Hmmmm...I had about 10 Italian units (including an expensive airborne and aircraft unit) in Southern France. I captured Marseilles and was closing in on Bordeaux and Toulouse when France surrendered.

Then I noticed all my Italians in the Vichy areas disappeared and they weren't displaced back to Italy.

Although I'm not surprised as to the evacuation of units in a neutral county but I just don't know what happened to my units or if they were disbanded and added back to my PP pool.

Now I'm thinking I shouldn't have poured so many Italians into France.

So what does happen to Axis units when Vichy is declared? Manual doesn't really say.

Thanks!

They should have gone back to your deployment pool.  In the lower right, click on deploy units, you should find them there.
