You can study the manual while at work.

Camping the forum would hit the nail. [;)]

Question is if we can reckon on a release by this week(end) or have to wait for next one.

I would be very surprised if we see it by Monday the 27th. I'm thinking more like Thursday the 30th.That's where I'd put my money if we were taking bets.

Study is the key word. To bad Matrix does not hold seminars at the various games on how to play, strategies, and the like. They could make a bit of money by charging a fee. The players could meet and hear the various folks who designed a particular game.

I have not been to a game convention for awhile and they might do this already sans the fee.

Well the manual came out on what Friday? Eric said the manual would be out 'about a week' before game release. He also said Matrix NEVER releases games on Friday. So that means the earliest date we'll see it is Monday 27th. I'm guessing Thursday 30th though.

Well that is not quite 3 times as long. That for me is three time mor time to read, learn anything and by the time zI get to thje end I would have to start over again LOL I am not convinced I will buy iot as yet as just the time in learning it let alone PLAYING the thing even against the AI when I can now just get through WitP against the AI Jap on a good day.
I find it amazing that there are those who read the manual jump into the game and manage to do quite well against another human who is equal in the same abilities. I play the AI for fun and relaxation and to be part of history.
I am not sure I want to get into the detail of AE for the reasons I play at WitP and money is a bit tight. I do enjoy this forum and will follow AE's forum to and perhaps some of the good stuff will rub off. I just cant see these endless play aids like spread sheets and planning maps and all the rest. I want a game to be fun and relaxing and AE will take a bit of dooing to get that status

Second to the Last Samurai...
