Spare a thought for us unfortunate ones.

Spare a thought for those of us unable to order the game, because of technical issues. In my case the store will not accept my Kiwi Visa card, even though my bank assures me it is ok. I have been working on ordering and downloading AE since 0400 local time, and it is now 1500 in the afternoon. Even with Erik and my Banks help it now looks like I will not be looking at AE for some time, and I can tell you that I am now feeling somewhat sorry for myself.

Did you try using PayPal? My Visa debit card (site said debit cards were ok) didn't work after entering everything in twice and double checking, but when I switched to my PayPal account I had no problems.

Sorry DivePac88 [:@]

I've used paypal for some problematic orders in the past as well. It's worth a shot. If you don't already have paypal though I think you have to wait a few days for them to verify your account.

After having issues in the past with trying to make a purchase directly with my Visa card, I just saved myself the headache and bought it through Paypal, with same Visa card.

That's not good. This is going to delay our restart. [:(]

Hopefully you can get it worked out soon.

Unfortunately I'm in your boat, "unable to verify your payment information" (on a Visa card) which is a real bummer as I've never had any problems with DR before. [:(]

PayPal doesn't work either (despite being able to log into the PayPal site). [:(] [:(]

Even tried using the "Other Countries" store [:(] [:(] [:(]

(I wonder if my AVG Free phishing filter has anything to do with this?? [&:])

Looks like I will be adding to Erik's workload later tonight if I can't get any joy.

One good thing. The exchange rate has changed and AE is now 73 cents cheaper than it was this morning. Ripped off you guys!!! [:D] [:D]
Cheers,
Reg.

I had the same issue here in the UK. I set up a Paypal account and that worked a treat.

I had trouble with the Aussie store....saying my card was no good or some such rot.  So I simply went to the US store and got it there.

The only problem I had was the fact either the Matrix store or DR themselves use a very rarely used extra security device called "VERIFY VISA"(whenever using Visa cards..)

This is only the 2nd time I have confronted this obstacle in years, but it is easily cleared)

At the top right corner, there was a label identifying the culprit as "VERIFY BY VISA" and it asked me for my "password"..(Well, hell, I never had created one), but a phone number was provided to my banks' consumer card internet service and I was cleared with a newly created password inside of 5 minutes.

My game download completed 70 minutes later..[:)]

I sympathise DivePac88. If it can make you feel better, I am at the office for quite some time still, while AE is sitting on my home computer [;)]

Had no problem with using Visa or with the discount code.

Now sitting and digesting the information........

Euro discount code didn't work for me in US store so it looks like I'll have to wait on the help desk call....

Too bad. But, when you DO get it, you're really going to have fun. Your wait will make it all the better.
