Is there any way of changing the kimit for an HQ chain ?

Go to Editor/Settings/Property Sheets/RuleVars/HQPower/Rule 304
Which is : "Max # of HQs in a chain of command"
This can be set to a specific number or to no limit.

If you change it in the generic.ptmaster and save it, it will be auto-set for all random games and most scenarios.

Hello Vic, thanks for your suggestion but how do I alter it in the generic file? It's unreadable by me.I thought I might be able to do it by creating a blank scenario but although I altered the setting & saved the file it but it is still set to 4.
