Hello all:

I am a rank beginner, having read the boad game rules, read the EiH rules and purchased the computer version of the game. I understand how it works, but I have never played a game and would like to "second" someone who will explain to me what is going on.

there is a lot of useful information in the forums, if you avoid the threads with a lot of us complaining and arguing about things. My suggestions would be to play the AI to understand movement, SUPPLY, and combat. Then perhaps when a game looses a small nation player such as Turkey, Prussia or Spain, take that position over. You are almost sure to have allies that would be willing to help you along. You may take over a damaged nation, but anyone but France and GB can usually bounce back from an early defeat.
