Question: Section 9.3.3.3 Automatic transfer of bulk cargo

Post by morphin »

Hi
In WITP there was a 20% spoilage if oil/resource was moved between adjacent ports. Is it the same in AE? If Yes, it is better to make a smal tf to transfer oil!! (e.g. between Kyushu and Honshu or Hokkaido and Honshu)

Nobody knows it that has changed since WITP? If it is really a 20% spoilage for automatic tansfer of fuel eg. from Kyushu(Fukuoka) to Honshu(Shimonoseki) then it will be much better to use a ship (1000 tonnes are ok) and move the oil with ship

For adjacent ports not connected by land there is no spoilage, only when transfer is overland and it is up to 20% depending on distance.

Thank's

So this has changed since WITP ->see http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1349415 VSWG had found out that "Shrinkage during port-to-port movement is always 20%" for adjacent bases.

So i'm happy that this shrinkage isn't anymore

In WitP the free transfer of material between adjacent ports was unlimited. In AE it still happens but is limited. The rates are in the manual (Section 9.3.3.3 AUTOMATIC TRANSFER OF BULK CARGO BETWEEN ADJACENT PORTS).
Is there still a loss of certain percentage of material transferred in such a way?
No changes there as far as I am aware.
Andrew

So, actually, it seems there is 20% loss during the port transfer. Perhaps someone could make a test?
