Possible bug? Overstacking air groups and training

Post by medicff »

Previous thread tm.asp?m=2193690 addresses that air groups in training are not counting toward the administration overstacking and may not be counting toward plane overstacking when computing the overstacking.

Is this WAP and we have to manually figure if the base will be overstacked or a oversight that the program is missing the training groups when computing?

See screenshot as well copied from previous thread.

I believe if you check the withdrawal date on that particular red unit you will find it is overdue to be withdrawn....and not red because of overstacking.

What is the easiest way to check to see if your airfield is overstacked? The # of engine thing is driving me batty. I'm not an airplane expert and don't know how many engines a some specific planes have.

I think I understand how you reach 8 of 7 airgroups at airbase. base size + HQ abilities for allowed. And airgroups minus related HQ detachments and patrol groups for number at base.

The problem I still have is ALL of the above groups are in training mode and should not count towards the admin overstacking at all yet the screen stills says 8 of 7.

I'm with medicff on this one. If you check out the previous thread, you'll notice that folks were being driven to drug and alcohol abuse from trying to figure this out !!!

The problem is that these groups are not set to any Training or Rest % level.
The code is not recognizing them as in Training/Resting as no 'patrol level' has been set.

I am adding an additional check that if the group is stood down or in training with nothing set, then it will assume 100% so that all training/resting groups in the base count as one for admin (which is the way it should work).

For now, if you set training or stand down to 100, then it should behave as expected.
