British in Algiers

Post by Maximeba »

I had put British ground units in the cities of Casablanca, Algiers and Tunis. I also had two air units next to Tunis. When France fell all of these units disappeared. Are these units eliminated? My idea was to declare war the next turn on the Vichy in Algiers.

Thanks

No, and I thought maybe they would appear later in the game, but they never did.  The axis get a free ride home while the allies seem to be eliminated

I would think the British would not be allowed in French colonies before France falls. British troops to defend mainland France is fine as long as they are withing 2 hexes of the channel, but in the French colonies, they would have been highly suspect and mistrusted from a political angle.
