This is my first attempt at a PBEM and AAR, so bear with me.
It am not as witty as Capt. Mandrake or as elloquent as Cuttlefish, so I will not attempt to emulate them here.
This is going to be a straigt forward AAR by a NOOB in the PBEM arena.
ANY ADVICE ALLIED PLAYERS MAY HAVE WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED! I need all of the help I can get about general running of the campaign.
With that, here we go.
Here are the settings we aggreed upon:

ADV weather- on
Allied Dam Control- on
Player Def upgrades- on
historical 1st turn- off
dec 7 surprise- on
reliable usn torps- off
realistic r&d- on

Auto sub ops- off
TF/Plane move radius- on
Set All facilities to expand at the start- off
auto upgrade ship/air- off
accept air/ground replacements- off
turn cycle- 2 days
Houserules decided on:
1) Only one port strike allowed on turn 1, but Bluebook can choose where that port strike takes place.
2) LCUs must change headquarters to cross borders in China, Burma, India, Thailand, Manchuria etc. This to prevent the Jap player from using all his Manchuria forces in China or Burma etc. Also applies to your Indian garrison units.
3) Allied player may not issue any orders on turn 1, with the exception of the two CVs at sea (to prevent a Jap player from trying to ambush them at sea on turn 1). I can also accept if you want to change orders for Force Z, but I would prefer to have them move historically towards the Singora landings, you decide.
The only moves I am making on Turn 1 is to try to move my carriers out of Harm's Way.
Here is my basic early war strategy.
Vigorusly contest PI and DEI
Fight delaying action in Malaya and Burma
Fight delaying action in SWP
Beef up Australia and PM
Beef up India to resist invasion
I expect to make many mistakes. Despite this, I expect the allies to eventually prevail.
As I said, any advice is appreciated.

RE: Bonehead Moves Will the Allies Win? Toddr22 Vs. Bluebook (No peeking Bluebook)
Questions regarding strategy:
I am working on my 1st turn and I have a couple of strategy questions.
Should I move American ships from, for example India, to the West Coast?
What should be the defensive line for Burma/India?
What should be the defensive strategy / line for China?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Not looking for detailed orders, just high level strategy. [;)]

If you want to haul supplies directly from the WC to Australia without refueling you need those 14k+ endurance AK to do the job. Those are british/european mostly. There is no need to arrange your assets by nationality in this regard.
In Burma I'd try to wait and see what your opponent brings. If you put too much in it might be a death trap, otherwise it might be too easy to take. You have four Brigades loaded on ships travelling the indian west coast. Eventually bringing one or two of them into Burma migh be worthwile. But only one of them - the Gurkhas - has good experience. And watch out for Betties isolating Rangoon.
I believe in China you can start a limited offense. Some players agree, some disagree, some say its a mess and should be left alone. Personally I think this is the area where you can hurt the japanese early on. If you dont keep him serious in China he might even buy out troops which you probably don't want to see elsewhere.
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?
