Multiple TFs in same hex

Post by spence »

In "Olde Vanillie" putting your Allied CVs in separate TFs used the IJN's ability to launch massive airstrikes against the IJN: 125 Vals and 144 Kates would vaporize one TF in the morning and one TF in the afternoon (if your own strikes didn't manage much). But all the other TFs lived to fight another day.

In a Coral Sea PBEM I had the Zuikaku, Shokaku, and Shoho in separate TFs when one large USN airstrike rolled in on the hex. When it left the hex Zuikaku AND Shokaku were in flames and sinking.

Is this WAD (and thus a significant change) or is this another bug in the Coral Sea Scenario? [I have saves (I think)]

WAD. And reasonable, too, given the smaller hexes.
