loading with Transport tF only of AKL

when try to load LCU with a TF only of AKL all work fine apart for support squad: there is space for it but are not loaded: in the save the TF in DEI base north of Darwin (Lauten?) are same days that loading a small AA unit: the only mode i find to procede is stop load..uload in another base--than made another trip to load the fragment..composed only of support squad: but again load only 1 squad per ship and stop. the same in the same save in the small OZ island near adelaide. Again a TF only with AKL and again trouble in loading support

AK,xAK and xAKL 's only carry cargo/equipment not troops
On the LCU screen look in the bottom left it tells you troop load requirement and cargo/equipment load requirement.
troops use AP, xAP, APA ship types
Cargo use AK,xAK,AKA ship types
Also use the Varify button when loading TF's

AK, xAK and xAKL type ships can carry troops in their cargo space, but at a penalty. For example to load troops in an AK type ship you need 6 cargo capacity points for every troop load point loaded.

if the TF is composed of both AK and AKL (indifferent presence of non cargo ship) all work fine. the trouble is when the loading TF is only composed of AKL: for exemple a TF composed of AK and AKL of total of 10000 capacity load for 10000. a TF composed only of AKL loading unit load all but the support squads. and in a second time load only one squad for AKL: there is teorically remainig space aboard but it remain unused.

Yes, there is a boundary load issue with loading troops into xAKL with only cargo capacity remaining at level 0 ports. Will adjust.

we can load support/troop onto AK only TF even now. the bug is only with AKL only TF

The issue hads nothing specifically to do with type of ship. It had to do with the method of calculating load cost offsets for loading troops into cargo space. For some ships that are very poor troop carriers (i.e. small ships with no troop capacity) the load cost offset for carrying troops is very high. For level zero ports the daily capacity is very low. The calculations for how-many-troops-can-I-load-on-this-ship-at-this-location returned a number less than the size of one squad. A minor tweak to this calculation will allow slow (painfully slow) loading.

Three good ideas:
1. Don't piss into the wind.
2. Never irritate Superman.
3. Use amphib ships and naval support to load/unload at tiny ports.
