81mm Mortar Destroying MarkIV's

Post by Rift »

Has any one else been getting this.

There were 2 MarkIV's in an the open. I engaged one with a Zook team and destroyed it eventually but used all the Zook rounds in the process.

The bailed out crew of the Mark IV hid almost directly under the second tank.

So I figured before I rushed my trusty Engineer Team in with their explosives, I'd try and kill off the cowering crew with a few mortar rounds.

I was pleasantly surprised (and my engineers were overjoyed) when the first 81mm mortar round blew up the remaining tank.

Any similiar experiences or thoughts

Take it easy.

Haven't seen that, but I have managed to blow up Stewarts with mortar rounds.

We'll attempt to replicate this Rift and see if the data is consistent with what you're outlining.  Is it possible some other simultaneous circumstance was occuring that took the tank out?  Not sure what the rest of the battlefield looked like for you.  Perhaps an AT gun on defend that also had LOS?  Or a tank?  Just want to be sure we have all the info in front of us.  Thanks for humoring me.

"An AT gun on defend", nice! [:D]

No it was def. the mortar, it even credited it with the kill.

I'm sure I can get a screen shot of the mortar team if you need.

It was on Ravenoville. Patch ver. 5.50.03b
