Sharing research

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

Sharing research

Post by Michael the Pole »

JFalk68 gave me an idea from his thread about Italy.[8D]
Historicaly, both the Axis powers and the Allies/Americans (and to a lesser extent) the Soviets all shared research breakthroughs. The Germans at one point even gave a working jet engine and plans to the Japanese (aircraft tech level 5.)
Of course, you can always hope that your ally will give you some PP that you can spend on research (the gift that keeps on giving!) but perhaps we could consider reducing the cost of researching a tech level after it has been discovered by someone else and say a year has passed. (The Germans and the Brits traded radar technology back and forth throughout the war by reverse engineering wrecked ships and planes. And of course the Sovs just flat stole the B-29.[X(])
