Unable to launch AE

Hello

Just got the downloadable version of AE (with DL insurance, thankfully). All fine until, just after the 'Ready to sail' screen disappears, ready to start the next bit of animation/film and the whole thing freezes; the second the 'Ready to Sail' screen fades to black before the next bit. When you bring up the task manager, you get that AE is "not responding".

Anyway, have uninstalled and am currently re-downloading to reinstall. However, I wondered whether anyone has any ideas?

After you install again, go into your AE folder. Find the VIDEO subfolder, and rename it NOVIDEO.

If you absolutely MUST see that film, look into updating your video drivers.

The NOVIDEO move worked. Thanks again.

As T suggested, you might want to do some driver updates. It should work without the renaming.
