Scenario making questions

Post by V22 Osprey »

How long does it take to make a scenario?

I can't find the editor manual on my CD, nor I can I find anyhwere else....where is it?

Are there other smaller scenarios already made?

I was think a China Only scenario would be cool, it would give players a chance to practice ground ops in AE.I have no Idea how to get started, though.

The manual is in R:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Manuals

How long? Really depends on what you have in mind.

Hmm...it was right in face the whole time.I just didn't bother to look in the documention folder in the Start Menu.

Like I said, something like a China only scenario, which covers the war in china and allows the player to get used to ground forces, and as added bonus command the legendary AVG.

EDIT:Oh God, this editor looks really complicated. It isn't as easy as placing a unit on the map, you probably have to set the bases and coordinates where each unit starts...You don't even see a map in the editor.

Yep.

I have two monitors. The game is open on one and the editor on the other. it's pretty easy and quick this way....maybe not as good as just clicking a hex and dropping a bunch of stuff in it.

A China only should not be hard. Do a save as for scenario 1 or 2. Assign the NW and SE coords for the map. Then mess with units and bases. Any units and bases not to be included in the scenario should have a delay of 9999..IIRC they will show up in the reinforcement and unit screens but will not be avaialble in the game because they are off the map.

A piece of cake.
