Beautiful, and I thought all my tears dried up. And they may never will, being a native NY'er and losing 3 High School classmates (2 firemen and 1 Port Authroty Policeman).:(

Born and raised in Brooklyn here... Lived there all my life until '99. Drove ambulances there for 14 years. Lost two former partners at Ground Zero, thought I'd lost two brothers as well (one NYPD, the other NYFD) but they were both on vacation in Florida and I didn't know.

No, the tears won't dry up, nor will the anger, nay the rage at those who would do this to my friends, my city, my home.
What, me worry?

No Pops, they were only there until April 13th and have since been removed.

Oh, that's kind of a shame. The good point would be that it would sort of replace something to the night that was there before, but it might also be too painful for people that had to see it all the time. Maybe they could do it every year on 9/11.

....has there been any talk about leaving them there....I would love to see that...I think it would be quite appropriate and very inspirational....

Wonderfully done photographs and a tribute to those who perished as a result of blind insanity. "We don't forget, we get even" keep that in mind Omar.
