We now have a Scenario Editor, will there be a game editor so we can fix problems in existing games? I am afraid I will have to ask you to fix one of my games again when it is the French turn. The French 1st Corps disapeared again afte you fixed it for me the last time during the next turn. I figured it was not worth bothering about until the 1.06 release.

Thanks

I have been looking this over (Adding more power to the host) but have not inserted this into a release yet.
The French 1st corps issue should be gone in 1.06.03 UNLESS this is left over from 1.05.05?

Thank you

Yes, it happened in 1.05.05 and you were kind enough to fix it. However 1 turn later it disapeard again. I have now updated to 1.06.03, but I don't have the ability to put it back.

Thanks

This is a great list. Is there any room for scope creep in 1.08 from sim phases to PBEM speed. I'm thinking about the auto-setup of small minors, and a simple "let the AI play my land phase turn" with no bells/whistles/modifications.

The auto-setup of minors was meant to be easy, and would make the first year go fast, and hook players into the game.

The let the AI play it, is also meant to be an easy expansion (hence no bells/whistles/modifications for things like forage options -they can come later). It is for those relatively common occurances that spring up when a player is away for a weekend/business during aland phase, and doesn't want to hold up the game/trade save files, he can opt to let the AI do his turn (and fix any errors later). But right now there are no options for the land phase, which must be played.

By auto-setup minors without corps, you cheat those who want to set garrison orders, eg surrender or sortie.
Both settings have advantages depending on what minors, and sometimes who attack. So personnaly i would vote this no.

You would have the opportunity to change the "orders" to the garrison during the reinforcement and naval phases (if you were not skipping), or in the land phase, if you went before your oppoent. It is unlikely that you would skip these phases if you were in a war, when these things have a slim chance of counting, so not normally an issue.

Sorry, but unlikely doesnt work for me, if they can happen once they are likely.
Its also likely a minor without corps go conquered so why setup forces .. ?

Since one can skip those phases if no new reinforcements expected, no navy etc.
Minors-reinforcements should be still included, and require the player to take action.

Any prognosis on advanced naval rules as an option?

Hello Marshall:

No word from you on my question on the Naval Rules. I am certain that if you considered using the same engine as you used for land combats with the navl rules, albeit with some tailoring, we could make the naval aspect a bit more vibrant. And, of course, I stand ready to assist you in any such endeavor to my fullest ability.

regards,

Mardonius

Mardonius:

I would entertain a look at this BUT it must come after I have streamlined and secured PBEM AND a possible classic scenario addition!
I will get with you when I get a chance to slow down a bit.

Thank you
